
Ana Chavier Caamaño is a first-generation Dominican-American writer, creator, executive producer, and host of Tradition Café. She holds a master’s degree in creative writing, grounding her work in a deep understanding of narrative craft and storytelling across mediums.
An accomplished travel writer, Ana’s articles and short stories have been featured in numerous publications, including two travel guides to the Dominican Republic, as well as magazine articles, literary journals, and anthologies.
Her work is grounded in oral history practices, with a focus on honoring lived experience through thoughtful, intentional interviews. She was selected for UC Berkeley’s Advanced Oral History Institute at the Oral History Center, a selective, advanced training program in oral history methodology, ethics, and practice.
Known for her thoughtful preparation and instinct for compelling moments, Ana creates work that not only captures attention but deepens audience connection to cultural narratives.
